Sending Email via SMS in Nepal (SMS-to-Email)

Yes there is an option for Sending Email via SMS with NCell. NCell provides SMS
to Email service with monthly activation charge and Re 1 per sms for sending SMS.
Moreover, it also supports the other way to deliver SMS via Email.

However, there is no such service being provided by Nepal Telecom.

Sparrow SMS provides SMS to Email service through its shortcode 4001. The message
syntax for sending Email through SMS is as follows:
TO<space>Email-Address<space>Email Text

Cost per SMS is Re 1 and has no activation charges. It works for both Nepal Telecom and NCell GSM users. A nice HTML email will be delivered to the receiver’s mailbox.

CRBT, PRBT and RBT are the common terms used in Nepal to represent Ring Back tones for different telecom operators of Nepal. According to Wikipedia - Ring-Back Tone or Audible Tone is defined as

   Nepal Telecom shortcode ____ is used to register or buy a CRBT tune. A Code is provided for each tune you want to download as a ring back tone. First of all you need to register for CRBT by sending one SMS.

Registering your own .NP Domain

.NP is the domain for Nepal. Domains are identifier address to websites hosted on web hosting servers at different locations on the cyberspace.

Till now .NP domains are available for free and is provided by Mercantile Communications Pvt. Ltd.

However, there are conditions to get a .NP domain. The conditions to get a .NP domain are as follows.

1. One must be a Nepalese Citizen with a valid Nepalese Citizenship
2. Or, the domain must be owned by a registered organization in Nepal for its official purpose
3. Or, the domain must be for the purpose of some Brands owned by Firm/Company.
